The 40th Edition and 2018 Dakar Rally in only a few days away. As a starter, a sea of sand awaits the competitors where mistakes could be costly.
From the 6th – 20th of January 2018, motos, quads, autos, SxS, trucks will cross, the 10th edition to be held in South America, the Dakar rally is revisiting the Pacific Ocean and the dunes of Peru, that drivers and riders will tackle after a few days sampling the delights of the capital, Lima. Competitors will then head through to Bolivia, for a welcome rest day in the festive atmosphere of La Paz. Argentinian aficionados top the podium when it comes to enthusiasm and good humour, and the most joyous of them will be waiting to acclaim the riders in Córdoba, host to the Dakar finish line for the first time.
On the menu, three countries. Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina. 14 stages and almost 9,000km with over 4,500km of special stages, and 5 days at an altitude of more than 3,000 metres.
